Bhoruka Power Plans 300 MW Gas Based Power Plant in Karnataka

Bhoruka Power Corporation is planning to set up a 300 MW gas based power plant in Karnataka. The company has reportedly identified land at Chikkodi in Belgaum district. The Rs.1200 crore project will source gas from the Dabhol-Bidadi gas pipeline being laid by the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL). The land will be acquired after the gas price is fixed by the GAIL. Currently, the company is waiting for the state government to negotiate with GAIL for fixing the gas prices.
