JOB SUMMARY
As the Senior Procurement Manager (Technical) for a Metro Rail Project, the incumbent works on and oversees the technical aspects around procurement activities which includes end to end vendor management including tendering, evaluations and contract management. The role holder supports and provides contract administration, and client/vendor services as & when required.
- Manages the vendor registration process for Metro Rail Project
- Monitors performance of suppliers in terms of the degree of completion versus the agreed targets and decides on remedial action, if necessary
- Serves as the custodian of the Procurement Management Information System and takes the lead in implementing technology enabled procurement
- Keeps track of all additional SoW (Schedule of Work) changes requested (CRs) throughout the life of the agreement
- Identifies risks & issues proactively and suggests alternatives that lead to best solution
- Coordinates with finance and alerts them on vendor reaching milestones triggering payments as per contract
- Oversees contract closeout activities
- Oversees the development and integration of contract management tools, templates, methods and processes
Qualification : B.E/ B. Tech (in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) + Post Graduate (MBA) preferable
Overall experience: 13-15 years

Specific Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in senior management level, preferably in the procurement division of Railway Projects of large magnitude
- Should have experience in handling contractors and EPC type contracts
- Project finance background is preferable
