DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Responsible to provide varied and extensive legal support in critical legal matters pertaining to the Projects taken up for development and operation.
- Responsible for verifying clauses of contracts with Company Policies & highlighting changes required in documents/agreements.
- Well versed with the concepts of legal strategy, drafting & negotiation of contract, commercial contracts, joint ventures, SPV, land & property matters, arbitration, litigation, project execution, etc.
- Responsible for handling various legal arbitration matters including preparing & drafting of claims for arbitration as well as handling the same in arbitration proceeding for and on behalf of the company.
- Responsible for drafting and vetting various legal replies of industrial service matters, contract matters, financial bond matters, loan agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, merger and demergers.
- Responsible to analyze legal risk of new business ventures and proposed acquisitions , prepare legal strategy.
- Examining legal requirements related to prospective Mergers, Acquisitions and Partnerships as part of due diligence checklist preparations,
- Responsible to evaluate impact of evolving legal and statutory regulations on the organization’s operations.
- Vetting of Case Papers and Appeals for submissions / pleadings for various legal proceedings.
- Adroit at handling all legal matters on project, arbitration dispute,contract, finance, land acquisition, right of way, service and advisory matters.
- Responsible for advising management & conducting research on various matters involving diverse provisions of law and furnishing legal opinions.
- Responsible for advising Contracts, Finance, Commercial and HR Depts. on issues having legal implications and in formulating policies;
- Responsible for appearing before various Courts (High Courts) / Tribunals / Environment Clearance Commissions / Regulatory Authorities for resolving critical issues.
- Responsible for appearing before various Arbitration forums.
Liaising Skills:
- Maintaining sustained contact with legal professionals and government officials for initiating / following up on legal procedures and finalizing various legal agreements / matters.
- Interfacing with external agencies and business partners on issues of legal interpretation / dispute.
