PVK Engineers plans power equipment plant in AP


PVK Engineers has sewn up plans to expand its manufacturing base for balance of plant equipment for power and cement plants at their unit near Hyderabad, while setting up a greenfield plant at Tada in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

The Hyderabad-based company, which manufactures and supplies balance of plant equipment for gas, thermal and hydro electric projects and sub-assemblies, has also finalised plans to set up a 15-MW solar photo-voltaic power farm in Mahboobnagar district of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr P.V.K. Reddy, Managing Director, told Business Line that the company is investing Rs 90 crore in the new equipment manufacturing plant at Tada in partnership with a Chinese manufacturer.

“We are also setting up a solar PV farm with an outlay of Rs 150 crore. The phase one of 5 MW will be operational before the end of the current financial year,” he said.
 
Referring to its manufacturing facility near Hyderabad, Mr Reddy said that the existing unit at Jeedimatla is being expanded and the new one at Tada will be ready by the end of the current financial year. “We have a long client list and provide them equipment and sub-assemblies to their specification. The expansion is aimed to meet the growing demand,” he said.
