DGM / AGM – Ash Handling Plant Maintenance

Job Profile:
  • In charge of the maintenance function of Ash Handling Plant (AHP)
  • To lead a team as per organizational setup for individual’s satisfaction and optimization of performance in respective fields and areas with HR initiatives and competency development.
Job Description:
  • Ensure highest availability of the Ash Handling Plant
  • To provide prompt support for operational needs of the plant
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance on the basis of Condition Monitoring Group (CMG) data and past equipment history
  • Minimize cost of maintenance and optimize equipment lifecycle cost
  • Ensure availability of spares and other infrastructure for maintenance
  • To find out new materials for spares manufacturing to increase the life and reliability of equipment and systems
  • Minimize response time to the customer (i.e. Operations) for handling routine day-to-day problems
  • Optimize Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
  • Assist in Planning and Ensuring timely implementation of Short term and Long term maintenance schedules.
  • Focused monitoring of day to day maintenance activities in area of responsibility
  • Initiating process debottlenecking and energy saving modifications
  • Plan resource requirements for mechanical maintenance of rotating machines – manpower and materials
  • Ensure schedule, quality, safety are scrupulously implemented in maintenance activities
  • SMPs / PM Check lists development and implementation
  • Ensure implementation of IT enabled maintenance management system
  • Ensure maximum possible use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Ensure Regular updation and Preservation of Maintenance record

  • To assist in planning and obtaining budget allocation for maintenance expenses and control the expenditure within budget.
  • Circulating MIS Reports Daily Maintenance Reports, Monthly Reports, Critical Incident Report
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators of the direct reportees.

  • Identify training and development needs of the team members, forwarding recommendations
  • Enable the team to perform effectively by delegating / assisting / guiding / counseling / motivating and developing team members.

Assistant Vice President / Senior General Manager – Maintenance

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

DGM / AGM – Maintenance Planning

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
  • Responsible for maintenance planning, condition monitoring and reverse engineering
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and implement schedules for Vibration Monitoring, Bearing Shock Pulse Measurement, Lube/Control/Transformer oil testing & analysis, Thermography, noise measurement
  • Conduct & coordinate balancing of rotating assemblies as and when required
  • Prepare maintenance planning schedule for the year in coordination with maintenance heads
  • Preparation and compliance monitoring of preventive maintenance work schedules
  • Formulation of short term and long term maintenance plan in coordination with maintenance heads
  • Compilation, Scheduling & monitoring of forced outage / plant outage maintenance activities in coordination with operations and maintenance heads
  • Identify spares for indigenization and list spares to be developed in coordination with operations and maintenance team
  • Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for the identified spare parts and finalize the drawings after the approval of the reporting officer
  • Identify manufacturers of the spares and forward the technical drawing to the manufacturers for developing samples of the same / for getting the cost details
  • Prepare cost savings report after comparing the costs and duration of indigenous made parts with imported parts
  • Coordinate for procurement and inventory control of common consumable required by all the maintenance teams
  • Coordinate for vendor standardization of electrodes, bearings, oils etc
  • Coordinate with Purchase team for spares procurement and follow up of spares and consumables
