Commercial evaluation of Tender documents Contracts Management
- Review Contract documents
- Assist in compiling tender responses, lead contract planning and negotiations.
- Contract compilation and issue (in conjunction with legal)
- Take initiative on Risk and Opportunity Management and lead the process.
- Responsible for preparing ITT for subcontractor work, evaluating submissions and managing alignment with main contract/tender
- Responsible for Commercial management of contracts and subcontracts (post award); ensuring management of claims and variations and timely invoicing & reporting.
- Responsible for coordinating contractual, commercial, industrial relations, taxation, insurance and legal issues
- Responsible for constructing and negotiating MOU and partnering arrangements, as required.
- Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes through refining contract formulation activities, systems and procedures
- To take responsibility in formulating and deploying effectively competitive sourcing strategies for risk mitigation and cost reduction
- To take over all responsibility in finalizing all contracts absolutely in the most cost –effective manner.
- To take responsibility in understanding technical specifications of finalizing as per project requirements from the Corporate contracts team.
- Decision Making
- Provision of sound well informed commercial advice to CEO & Project Directors
- Numbers of contractors and suppliers have to be finalized on the best optimum rates.
- Quality and timely delivery with appropriate paper work.
- Effective management of vendors to ensure that the company gets preferential supply contracts at best prices.
- Search for competitive vendors/suppliers and thus increase the vendor base.
- Take initiative in developing long term relationship with key vendors.
- Legal
- Good knowledge in Primavera, good negotiation skills with the understanding of legal aspects of contract law.
- Knowledge & Skills: Should know the technical aspect of costing, estimation and process flow of the work.
- Documentation: Must be familiar with “zero Time” documentation and retrieval technique.
- Responsible for Safe custody of documents
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, technology advances and adapting for maximum sustainable advantage and growth.
Qualification & Experience
BE (Mechanical/ Civil)
MBA degree
Relevant & Total Years of Experience:
10 years- 15 years
Should have exposure in steel industry.
Should have exposure in international locations
