Position Profile: Head – Machine Shop

Preferred Qualification : Graduate in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Experience (years): Twelve to Fifteen years in shop floor working.

Job Description

• Responsible for Machine Shop Production & Tool Room activities,
• Experience in a Heavy Engineering Machine Shop with exposure to working on large HBM, VTL, Turning Centers, etc is preferable.
• Meeting set targets,
• mobilizing and optimizing available resources,
• Productivity of assigned Groups,
• Responsible for process improvements and cost cutting activities.
• Maintaining Quality of Production and ensuring Good House keeping
• And safe working. Organizing tools and other consumables to ensure smooth production. Responsible for Lean Manufacturing activities in Machine Shop.
• Any other work entrusted by the Management from time to time.

Key Personal Skills

Good knowledge of shop floor planning and execution to meet the targets.

• Man Machine Interface
• Effective Time Management Skills.
• Responsible for process improvement and Delivery schedule
• Good Communication Skills.
• Ability to be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Computers, SAP. 
• Good Knowledge of Quality and EHS systems
